10.05.11 Best Western Hotels: The world’s largest hotel chain counts on optivo for its pan-European email marketing

Berlin, 10 May 2011 – Best Western Hotels now places its trust in the tried-and-tested optivo® broadmail broadcasting platform. The world’s largest hotel chain will progressively deploy software from the Berlin-based email marketing specialist in twelve countries throughout Europe for the dispatch of newsletters and campaign emails in both the B2C and B2B sectors. Email communication to European members of the loyalty scheme ("Best Western Rewards") will also be conducted using the optivo solution. Besides Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the email marketing software will also be implemented for the domestic markets of Spain, Denmark and Sweden along with the Netherlands and Turkey. With Best Western Hotels, another key player in the tourism sector opts for optivo.

 

The conference, city and holiday hotels from Best Western guarantee uniform quality standards around the globe while boasting individual personality and local flair. What applies to the service at around 4,000 hotels in more than 80 countries now also holds true for the newsletters: Thanks to the use of templates, all newsletters sent by the hotel chain in Europe now boast a uniform look and feel with individually definable content to match user interests. The optivo® broadmail email marketing software facilitates the creation of customised and extremely finely segmented campaign emails for all guest groups, taking factors such as user activities, interests and sex into account. One example target group comprises the 1.5 million European members of the company’s loyalty scheme "Best Western Rewards".

 

The cooperation between both firms will commence across a dozen European countries over the coming months during which optivo® broadmail will be rolled out on a step-by-step basis. Dispatch of the emails will occur in conjunction with the LYNX online booking system, among others. The Best Western marketing team places special focus on the area of campaign mailings – and with opening rates of up to 44% in the first mailings has already been successful in this regard.
