22.11.11 HolidayCheck checks in at optivo: Germany’s largest online travel and holiday information portal relies on optivo® broadmail for its pan-European email marketing

Berlin, 22 November 2011 – The list of optivo clients grows yet again: As of immediately, HolidayCheck AG uses optivo® broadmail for its email marketing. The operator of the world’s largest German-speaking holiday evaluation portal, which includes its own TÜV-certified travel agency, will now dispatch personalised B2B and B2C newsletters to more than ten countries throughout Europe using the award-winning optivo broadcasting solution. The partnership also encompasses the MietwagenCheck (HireCarCheck) portal. Templates comprise the basis for the emails to be dispatched – significantly simplifying the entire creation process. With its switch to optivo® broadmail, the subsidiary of German-based Tomorrow Focus AG is striving to comprehensively extend its email marketing efforts. HolidayCheck also anticipates benefiting from precise, finely targeted addressing of newsletter recipients and advanced international delivery management capabilities. Previously, the dispatch of emails was undertaken via a solution developed in-house.

 

HolidayCheck AG plans sending several million emails each month across Europe for both its renowned online services HolidayCheck (www.holidaycheck.com) and MietwagenCheck. Besides Germany, Switzerland and Austria, the list also includes other European countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Russia and the Netherlands. In contrast to an in-house dispatch solution, enterprise software such as optivo® broadmail offers a whole host of advantages.

 

The optivo broadcasting solution enables the extremely well defined, targeted addressing of recipients. Contents can be personalised and thereby optimised right down to the level of the individual email recipient. Information acquired from customer actions can also be incorporated. The result: above-average opening rates and enhanced customer retention and loyalty. Furthermore, a highly effective delivery management system ensures exceptional deliverability to recipients. A team of optivo specialists remains in close, regular contact with more than 120 domestic and international webmail and internet service providers.

 

The possibility to create and dispatch newsletters quickly and easily at any time represents an additional significant advantage. As newsletters are created on the basis of templates, no knowledge of HTML or image processing is necessary. Operation is simple, yet still provides broad ranging flexibility for the individualisation of layouts thanks to a choice of numerous pre-defined paragraph types – while maintaining a uniform design. A content interface also simplifies the workflow, which facilitates seamless, automated product data integration on the basis of XML. Marketers thereby now only need to enter a product ID and all relevant information concerning the product and/or special offer are automatically adopted in the newsletter.

 

More efficiency gains are ensured through the tight knit integration between optivo® broadmail and the HolidayCheck systems (Data Warehouse). All important recipient data is imported from the system into the optivo software – and conversely, new response data is exported back into the system following each newsletter dispatch. This bidirectional exchange warrants that all relevant data for the sending of emails is contained in a closed loop.
